We offer a lot of wines suited to getting a dinner party started, but this one is all about bringing it to the perfect end. And, though it is indeed a Fortified Shiraz, it's not the kind you'd expect to enjoy with a slice of grandma's sultana-laden fruit cake! We prefer to envisage Nigella Lawson lustfully swirling Night Owl around in glass, describing its 14-month oak maturation and luscious aromas of bright fruit, baked plum and subtle hints of chocolate. And finishing with a palate of light spice and sweet, bright fruit goodness, we're sure she'd say it's nothing short of delectable.
