Gold medal haul and BEST SAUVIGNON BLANC OF SHOW
We are excited to share that our Estate 2021 Sauvignon Blanc has won gold and the trophy at Royal Queensland Wine Show and followed it up with another Gold at Cowra Wine Show.

Our new release Estate 2021 Riesling has also won gold at the Single Vineyard Wine Show.

“We are delighted to be awarded the Best Sauvignon Blanc of Show for our latest vintage,” said Wicks Estate Director, Tim Wicks. “It has long been a popular wine amongst our consumers, and it is an honour to see it recognised by the wine industry as well.”

The 2021 Sauvignon Blanc is the first vintage crafted by our new winemaker, Adam Carnaby, who joined our cool climate Adelaide Hills winery in November 2020.

Adam has gained winemaking experience across Australia, beginning in the Yarra Valley, where he worked with pinot noir expert Tom Carson, then in Margaret River, with Xanadu Wines. Before joining Wicks Estate, Adam was chief winemaker at Seppelt Wines, in Great Western.

“It’s a pleasure to be working with premium Adelaide Hills fruit from the estate vineyard. It’s paramount that wine be regionally expressive and have a sense of place.” Adam says.

2021 Wicks Estate Sauvignon Blanc

The most popular wine in the Wicks Estate stable, the 2021 Sauvignon Blanc drinks best whilst young and full of fruit intensity. Aromas of tropical fruits and attractive varietal flavours are balanced by an elegant, lively palate finishing clean and crisp. An excellent example of Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc, and a consistent award winner.

2021 Wicks Estate Riesling

Zippy and fresh, Wicks Estate’s Riesling offers lifted floral aromas and lively citrus intensity on the palate, finely balanced by the tight structure and crisp natural acidity that follow. This wine is popular within the Wicks team, and is swiftly earning interest beyond.
